Order in chinese at the Mc Donalds
We are in China and sometimes we don’t really want to eat Chinese food, or it’s too late to go restaurant so we should go to the evil junk food restaurant named.. Mc Donalds (麥當勞). But we don’t want to do like normal foreigner, who usually order by the number of the meal, or via the menu. So I translate for you (and me!!) the names of the some dishes in Chinese:
Hamburgers 漢堡 (Han Bao):
- Cheeseburger: 吉士漢堡 (JiShi HanBao).
- Double cheeseburger: 雙層吉士漢堡 (ShuangCeng JiShi HanBao).
- Big Mac: 巨無霸 (Ju Wu Ba).
- Mc Chicken: 麥香雞 (MaiXiangJi)
- Grilled Chicken: 板烧雞腿堡 (Ban Shao JiTuiBao)
- Spicy Grilled Chicken: 麻辣板烧雞腿堡 (MaLa Ban Shao JiTuiBao)
Drinks:
- Coca-Cola: 可口可樂 (KeKou KeLe)
- Sprite: 雪碧 (XueBi)
- Fanta: 芬達 (FenDa)

Something is really great in China, you can call McDonalds, tell them what you want, and 30 minutes later a guy will ring at your door with food. This service work is all the major cities in China, if you’re closer than 5km for a McDonalds. Great, isn’t it?
So we just need to call the 4008-517-517 from any line (for the cultural point, 517 pronounced WuYaoQi is close from 我要吃 (WoYaoChi), literally, “I want eat”). Then they will ask if we want Chinese (1) or an English (2) operator.
For the first time, you should register your address to deliver, if you already did it, they’ll just remain your address. Then you just need to ask what you want.. Wait ~30 minutes and pay 7 rmb for the home delivery fee.
