Disneyland project in China get ready
China will be ready soon to get it’s own Disneyland park in Shanghai. Most of the residents (99%) living in this 3,9 km2 have been relocated, and the construction will start at the end of the next month. About these more than 2000 households and 300 companies, they planned to be relocated in new apartments by August 2012. This residential project will cover 324 000 m2 with more than 6500 apartments.
About the Disneyland park it will cover about 1,16 km2, and up to 2,74 km2 for parkings and dining areas. The park will be publicly open in 5 or 6 years. The first phase of the project has been estimated to cost about 25 billions rmb.
The Bund of Shanghai reopened
The Bund of Shanghai (外灘) reopened Sunday after nearly three years of renovation designed to improve the landscape and facilities for visitors to the World Expo. The revamp increases the area for public activities by 40 percent, allowing local residents and the World Expo visitors to experience a more beautiful and functional Bund, which is famous for its aesthetic buildings built in the early period of the 20th century.
